Atchison Community Educational Foundation

Our program this week is the Atchison Community Educational Foundation, (ACEF).  Plan on attending this meeting to see who ACEF's next scholarship recipient will be!

Created for the purpose of assisting minority and at-risk youth with the opportunity to receive a higher education and develop home-grown leadership for Atchison’s future, the Atchison Leaders’ Scholarship represents a truly visionary program that benefits college-bound students, their families and the Atchison community at-large. This privately-funded program was initiated in 1994 by Bud Cray and a group of involved citizens, various businesses and other organizations. With its inception, the Atchison Community Educational Foundation (ACEF) was formed to oversee and sustain the program by providing eligible male, African American, high school seniors in Atchison County with financial assistance to attend Benedictine College for a full four years.
